Understanding the Blinds in Texas Holdem

The Texas Holdem blinds are forced bets, and are the equivalent of the ante in 7 Card Stud. There are two blinds, the big blind and small blind. The small blind is half the amount of the big one, so when you see games like $1/2, $3/6 or $50/100 they are referring to the size of the blinds.
